Discover Narbonne
Sea, Salt Ponds and the Abbey of Fontfroide
Accompanied by your guide, leave the hotel for Narbonne, about 45 minutes from Carcassonne, to tour the lovely town of Narbonne and visit the Cathedral of St. Just and the Archbishop's Palace. After the tour, you will continue along the Mediterranean coast and stop for lunch at Bages with a view overlooking its well-known salt pond. The salt ponds are a wildlife reserve for beautiful pink flamingos and migrating birds.
Next you will head in the direction of the marvellous Cistercian Abbey of Fontfroide to visit its abbey church, its magnificent cloister and flowering gardens.

Discover Cordes and Albi
Charming towns of Cordes and Albi including a visit of the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum
Cordes-sur-Ciel, nearly two hours north of Carcassonne, is an attractive fortified village built on a hilltop with several picturesque 13th century houses, many of which are now occupied by artists and craftsmen.
Visit and lunch in Cordes-sur-Ciel. After lunch, you will head for the town of Albi, where you will visit the Cathedral of St. Cecile, a fine example of defensive architecture with a magnificent and richly decorated interior. The highlight of our visit to Albi is the Berbie Palace, now a museum housing the largest collection of works by Toulouse-Lautrec, who was born in Albi.

A Day in Toulouse
City tour of the Ville Rose
Accompanied by your guide, discover the city of Toulouse, just an hour from Carcassonne. Explore the Ville Rose - Pink City - so called because of its traditional red-brick architecture. After a stroll around the main square, the Place du Capitole, you will head for the Bemberg Foundation, located in the Hôtel Assézat. This remarkable museum owns several masterpieces by artists from the Renaissance to modern times, including such artists as Matisse, Modigliani and Picasso.
After the visit, enjoy lunch in a typical Toulouse brasserie followed by an afternoon of leisurely browsing and shopping in your choice from a large selection of elegant boutiques (tableware, interior decoration, clothes, leather goods, to name but a few).
